Psychoeducational Assessments

A typical assessment involves interviewing the parent(s) and youth, physician, teachers or other involved professionals, reviewing previous reports and sometimes observing the youth in an appropriate and relevant setting (e.g. classroom or home). This is followed by a series of tests - completed over a total of six to eight hours - using a battery of objective standardized tests. Once the test results have been compiled and evaluated, an open discussion of the test results and intervention recommendations is completed and the final written report is prepared and submitted.

Some common assessment types include the following:

  • Learning Disability Assessment (Reading, Writing, Math)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Assessment
